Peek-a-Book
I feature here
two books that I have written. One, on the impossibly beautiful and
fascinating land of Ladakh (in Jammu and Kashmir), was written by me
as part of the editorial team at the travel portal JourneyMart. The
book is copyright JourneyMart, but I'm featuring it here because it
is very close to my heart. Ladakh is a land I have visited three
times, and its beauty is such that I can never quite- no matter how
hard I try- actually put it in words.
So here it is:
the HarperCollins Guide to Ladakh.
The second book
is very different. Not a travel book, no facts and no figures. This
is a novel, a historical detective story set in the turbulent times
of 17th century Delhi, where a triple murder- that of a courtesan, a
nobleman, and his bodyguard- brings to light a secret that
jeopardises the stability of an empire already tottering on the
brink of disaster. Tentatively called The Englishman's Cameo, this book still awaits the light of day.
All I can do is hope and pray.
